The Taiwanese Student Association (TSA) at UC Berkeley is a non-profit, non-political student organization that focuses on enriching the college experience of anyone who shares common interest in Taiwanese culture. Our goal is mainly to represent the Taiwanese community and strengthen its voice on and beyond the campus.
How does TSA relate to you? We hope to promote the awareness of Taiwanese culture to the entire student body as well as to build lasting friendships. TSA means more than a club. It is a place, a family, where everyone belongs to when you are away from home!
Hi everyone! My name is Lisa and I am currently a pre-med student studying Public Health. I was born and raised in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and at the age of 13, I moved to LA (Where are my Socal peeps? Woo woo) I am a crazy cat person, so if you own a cat, please sent me its picture so I can destress myself from the most infamous Ochem. I also love scary movies so feel free to hit me up whenever you need someone to watch scary movies with you!
Hello everyone! My name is Frances and I'm a senior currently studying Architecture. I was born and raised in Tainan, Taiwan, but around 8th grade, I moved to Vancouver for high school, then miraculously got into Cal so now I'm here! Most of my free time is spent playing tennis, binge-watching anime/Marvel movies, and scrolling through Pinterest. If you ever see me in Wurster, anywhere on campus, or at events taking pictures please come say hi! I don't bite, I promise;)
Hi I'm Austin, third-year majoring in Civil Engineering and minoring in Data Science & Music, and I'm from Orange County! In my free time, I love making music, playing the piano, and graphic and motion designing. Hit me up if you want to jam out or do a collab!
Hello everyone! My name is Juliat Lin and I am the VPO for Fall 2020. I was born in Taiwan and I just moved to the states this year! My favorite cuisine is Asian food so if you also like Asian food, make sure to hit me up! During my leisure time, I like to watch Korean drama/survival shows and listen to K-pop. I am incredibly excited to meet new people and friends!
Jamie is our IVP of the semester! She was born in Yilan, Taiwan. She is now a s senior studying astrophysics, and she likes to watch sci-fi movies and stargaze. Feel free to talk to her if you have the same interests!
Hi everyone! My name is Carin and I am currently a senior double majoring in Economics and Data Science (if you’re taking classes in these departments, hit me up so we can study together!) I was born and raised in Taipei, and at the age of 10 I moved to Beijing with my family. I love watching a wide genre of movies (don’t watch horror films :///) and playing board games. Recently, I’ve been trying to learn how to play volleyball, let me know if you want to help me practice or just play for fun!
Hey everyone! My name is Jeffery, currently a sophomore studying computer science at Cal, and I’m the webmaster this semester. I was raised in Tainan where no one seems to come from. I’m fat and I like food, enjoy cringey tv shows, and I like to play soccer/volleyball and ski in my free time. Be sure to come say hi!
Hi, I'm Arina! I'm currently a senior majoring in Econ and minoring in Chinese. I used to be a swimmer, water polo player and synchronized swimmer too. I also studied abroad in Korea spring 2019 so come talk to me if you wanna know about studying abroad or Korea. Fun fact, on the weekends, I paddle for Cal Dragon Boat!
Hello everyone! My name is Mark and I’m this semester social officer. Just like most of other
people at Cal, I am an intended computer science major. I was born in Taoyuan, Taiwan and
moved to Palo Alto, California when I was 15. I like to play basketball, workout, and explore
new restaurants in my free time, so make sure to hit me up when you plan to do any of these.
Hi my name is Leona, from Taipei, Taiwan! I’m a sophomore intended MCB and data science. In my free time I’m either napping or snacking. Be sure to say hi when you see me around!
Hi everyone! I’m Monica, and I’m double majoring in Society & Environment and Political Science. I’m a Berkeley legacy kid, GO BEARS🐻💛💙
Hi y’all! I’m Justin and I’m the Public Relations officer this semester! I’m an intended Computer Science and Operations Research & Management Science double major, and I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. During my free time, I love playing tennis, watching anime (Mandarin subtitles only), and eating chocolate pretzels. One (really) important fact about me is that my favorite tennis player is Roger Federer. I’m pretty chill so feel free to hit me up whenever you want!
Hiii there! My name is Vivian and I’m a senior majoring in art practice. I was born in Kaohsiung but have spent most of my life in Taipei. I am a huge fan of hip hop, r&b, and good ol’ Chinese songs. I also enjoy playing pool, going to art exhibitions, and painting happy trees with Bob Ross at 3 in the morning. I love boba (Berkeley has been treating us well) and scouting for good restaurant, so definitely hmu when you’re grabbing food next time! 💕

It's that time of year again—get ready for TSA's 34th KCON! Come and listen to our group of fantastic contestants perform for you, and watch TSA's homemade mini-film, Dear John. It's our biggest event of the semester, and if you come, we guarantee you won't regret it! See you there!
If you've ever watched any recent Taiwanese films, you've surely heard of Wei Te-Sheng, a famous Taiwanese movie director. We've honored to present him to you at our event, Taiwan Through the Lens, where you get to hear Director Wei talk about his experience in cinematography as well as ask him any questions you might have! It'll be awesome, and you definitely don't want to miss out!
Come through to this semester's Intern Event!! Make your own rice balls and boba for the low price of $5 (non-members) / $3 (members)! Please come support our interns, who worked really hard to put this event on. Hope to see you there!
Guess who's birthday it is! Of course~~our homeland! Come celebrate Taiwan's 108th birthday with us in San Francisco as we join other Taiwanese groups around the bay as well as our sister club, TASA, in a march around San Francisco's Chinatown on Sunday, 10/6. Hope to see you there, and remember to show your Taiwanese pride by wearing red, blue, and white and/or bringing Taiwanese flags!
Come out to TSA's Fall 2019 Culture Night! We'll have a bunch of night-market style games set up where you can win tickets that you can use toward some awesome prizes at the end. We'll also have grass jelly and other Taiwanese street snacks at the event. This is an event you won't want to miss!
If you weren't able to make it to Boba Social, but still want to come learn more about TSA as a club or potentially becoming an officer, make sure to come to First General Meeting on Friday 9/6 at 8 pm, Barrows 170, just three days after Boba Social!
Come for some fun, NON-AWKWARD games, meet new and old friends (cough “friends”), and have an eventful Friday night! We’ll also be introducing our new and improved TSAi system, and intern positions for our officer core. So if you are interested, definitely come!
Feeling overwhelmed or sad from the start of the school year? Want to get to know more Taiwanese people on this campus? Save some big money and come through to Boba Social on Tuesday 9/3!
To maximize future cheap deals, we highly recommend becoming a LIFETIME member for just $25! Come out to TSA's 33rd KCON, April 27th in Heart Annex A1! If you don't come out to a TSA event all semester, come out to this one!
